Interaction behavior and load sharing pattern of piled raft using nonlinear regression and LM algorithm-based

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2021, Volume 15, Issue 5,   Pages 1181-1198 doi: 10.1007/s11709-021-0744-6

Abstract: In the recent era, piled raft foundation (PRF) has been considered an emergent technology for offshore and onshore structures. In previous studies, there is a lack of illustration regarding the load sharing and interaction behavior which are considered the main intents in the present study. Finite element (FE) models are prepared with various design variables in a double-layer soil system, and the load sharing and interaction factors of piled rafts are estimated. The obtained results are then checked statistically with nonlinear multiple regression (NMR) and artificial neural network (ANN) modeling, and some prediction models are proposed. ANN models are prepared with Levenberg–Marquardt (LM) algorithm for load sharing and interaction factors through backpropagation technique. The factor of safety (FS) of PRF is also estimated using the proposed NMR and ANN models, which can be used for developing the design strategy of PRF.

Developing China's Auto Industry Through the “CHERY” Pattern

Jin Lüzhong

Strategic Study of CAE 2004, Volume 6, Issue 9,   Pages 9-13

Abstract:

Only a few years since its founding, CHERY has not only developed 4 new style cars, part of which are exported, through its efforts, but also been the first car enterprise that establishes car joint venture abroad. That is the road for developing China's auto industry. The government should support such auto enterprises as CHERY, GEELY and HAFEI, which take the road of self-reliance development and proprietary innovation. Preferential policies should be given to them so that they can grow bigger and stronger.

PD pattern recognition based on multi-fractal dimension in GIS

ZHANG Xiaoxing, YAO Yao, TANG Ju, ZHOU Qian, XU Zhongrong

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2008, Volume 3, Issue 3,   Pages 270-275 doi: 10.1007/s11465-008-0042-1

Abstract: This paper designs four types of gas insulated substation (GIS) defect models based on partial discharge (PD) characteristics and its defections. The GIS gray intensity images are constructed based on the mass specimens gathered by the ultra-high frequency and high-speed sampling systems. The multi-fractal dimension is founded on the box-counting dimension and multi-fractal theories. The GIS gray intensity images distillation methods, based on multi-fractal characteristics, is put forward. The box-counting dimension, multi-fractal dimension, and discharge centrobaric characteristics of the PD images are also extracted. The characteristic variables are then classified by the radial basis function (RBF) network. Identified results show that the methods can effectively elevate the discrimination of the four types of defects in GIS.
